Note about Mechanical Aquatic Plant Removal:

During the Pine-Cedar Lakes Association annual meeting today, we had a presentation by guest speaker Tristan Ehlenfeldt from Lake Life Dock & Lift regarding mechanical aquatic weed removal. There was significant interest, so I wanted to share this information with all lake property owners.

If you are interested in learning more or scheduling this service, please reply to Julie Kees at juliekees@msn.com and indicate which of the following you are interested in:

  • Removal of non-emergent (submerged) aquatic weeds – This service is time-sensitive and should be completed within the next two weeks if you would like it done this season.
  • Removal of emergent (above-water) aquatic vegetation – This work requires a Minnesota DNR permit before it can be completed.

Tristan can assist with either service. If there is sufficient interest from multiple homeowners, he may be able to coordinate the work, which could result in cost savings for participants.

Please note that the Pine-Cedar Lakes Association is not endorsing Lake Life Dock & Lift or any specific contractor. Our goal is simply to share information about an available option for aquatic weed management. Each property owner should determine the approach and service provider that best meets their needs.

Additional information about these services is available at lakelifedockandlift.com.

Thank you.
